As a professional photographer, your technology should enhance your process, not get in your way!
Intel and Adobe* engineers are continually working together to optimize Adobe Apps. The goal is to deliver you a brisk and responsive performance. Read further to learn about the technologies (eg. Multicore Parallelism, AVX2) behind recent performance gains to Adobe apps running on Intel-based devices.
But first we like to share professional tips and tricks on how to get the most out of Adobe Photoshop.

Independent third-party reviews** of Adobe Lightroom Classic (7.2) show a two to five times (workload dependent) performance gain compared to the previous version. How it was done? Intel and Adobe engineers worked together to get the best out of Intel’s® Core™ micro architecture, with a focus on performance optimizations in two key areas:
The ‘Processor threading' optimizations do enable Adobe Lightroom Classic to efficiently take advantage of the multiple Intel® Core™ processor cores to start parallelizing the computationally intensive workloads. This becomes specially interesting with Intel’s X-series CPUs (eg Intel Core i9 9900X).
The Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (Intel® AVX2 technology) optimizations do enable Lightroom to fully utilize the capabilities of vector processing to more efficiently handle image, audio and video data.
If you want to know more about these optimizations efforts with Adobe Lightroom, you can read this newly released technical White Paper.
